| studio is available for a Life Drawing Session |
Anytime

Artspawn has been running a Life Drawing session here since the beginning of
the year 2000. Originally, it was been run with the excellent help of both
Mike Ball and Lori Peterson as model arrangers/schedulers and coordinators.
Matt and I have also done model scheduling in more recent years, and all
along, Artspawn has provided the heated space and kept the models paid.
Times are changing, and with all of us here at Artspawn busy with projects
that keep us occupied on Wednesday nights, and dwindling enrollment, we have
decided to change our programming here at Artspawn. Starting with the New
Year 2007, Artspawn will no longer be sponsoring Life Drawing sessions on
Wednesday nights.
If anyone would like to form a group to continue the Life Drawing class
(hire & schedule your own models, and do set up and clean up of the classroom
each week) we would be glad to talk with you, and to donate our classroom as
free space for you to continue running the group. Please contact us at the
address above. We will be keeping the
Wednesday night time slot open for the next few months to see if an
‘artist cooperative’ type group might form and want to take over running
the session.

| Belly Dancing |
Every Tuesday from 7:00pm to 8:30pm
|
Bellydancing is an ever-evolving form of dance with solid roots in the Middle
East, Africa, Persia and India. Not afraid to borrow new ideas from other
dance forms, it has gained strong popularity in the Americas, Europe and
Asia thanks to its ability to adapt to most kinds of music, as well as
achievable, adaptable dance steps which produce grace, flexibility, and
strength in almost everybody. Classes will include the basics of Egyptian
cabaret as well as "village" dance steps, yoga for flexibility and strength
building, introduction to a variety of musical genres, learning
choreographies, and open dance where dancers can experiment with
incorporating music and steps to develop their own unique style of movement.
Donations accepted.
